One day＠Kabukicho #DAY178 - When will the warm spring come?
On the weekend after finishing the somewhat big task for me, registrating a new company, I headed back to Kabukicho. Though the new company is just at the starting line, I met up with my friend and she says "good job" for the unfamiliar procedures. Yep, the gathering was just an excuse to have fun or chat, as usual.
新会社設立の登記っていう自分にしたらちょっとした大仕事を一旦終えた週末、また歌舞伎町の街へ。まだ新会社はスタートラインに立っただけでしかないんだけど、とりあえず諸々慣れない手続きお疲れさまでしたってことで友達とお疲れ会・・・とか名目はテキトーでただ単に遊びたい？話したい？だけなのもいつものこと。
Even if I say I'm going to Kabukicho, it doesn't mean I'm going to drink alcohol. Lately, I've been drinking whiskey again, but basically I drink at home. Drinking outside makes it a hassle to return home. If I drink at home, I can just lay on a bed right away when I start feeling good. Well, I guess it's not impossible to sleep without going home like the person in this photo... for a moment, I seriously thought he was dead.
歌舞伎町の街へ行くと言ってもお酒を飲むわけではない。最近、またウイスキーなんか飲んでいたりするけど、基本的に酒を飲むのは家。外でお酒を飲むと家に帰るのがめんどくさくなっちゃって。家で飲んでいたら気持ちよくなったらそのまますぐ寝れちゃうじゃん。まあこの写真の人みたいに帰らずに寝ることもできなくはないけどさ・・・一瞬、マジで死んでるのかと思った。
But the most delicious time to drink is probably when I go on a family trip a few times a year. Drinking with my father, younger brother and his wife, chatting and sometimes quietly enjoying a drink is delicious. Plus, even if we drink until quite late, we are drinking in a hotel or ryokan, so we can easily return to our room and rest right away.
でも一番おいしく飲めるのは年に数回行く家族旅行の時かなー。父や弟夫婦とワイワイと、時にしっぽりと飲む酒はおいしい。しかもある程度遅い時間まで飲んでいても、ホテルや旅館の中で飲んでいるから、すぐに部屋に戻れるしすぐに休むこともできるし。
I also went to Sakura Street on this day. Because I thought that I hadn't been taking photos around Sakura Street lately. I was able to take the appearance of a group like friends that seemed enjoying.
この日はさくら通りの方にも行ってみた。最近あんまりさくら通りの方で写真撮ってないなーって思い当たって。そうしたらこんな楽しそうな友達グループみたいな人達の姿を撮ることができた。
This is a photo taken on Godzilla Road. When I was taking photos, I didn't think much about it, but I realized that I was walking around to various places on this day. First, I walked around Toho Building, then head to Sakura Street, and return to the vicinity of Toho Building via Godzilla Road. And went through TŌYOKO area, walked along Hanamichi Street, and head towards the batting center on Ward Office Street.
こっちはゴジラロードでの写真。撮っている時は特に何も思わなかったけど、なんかこの日はいろいろなところを歩き回っているなぁ。最初に東宝ビルの周りを歩いて、そこからさくら通り行って、ゴジラロード経由で東宝ビルの辺りまで戻ってきて、そのままトー横を抜けて花道通りを歩いて、区役所通りのバッティングセンター方面へ。
Why does he drink until being like this? Did something bad happen? I remember seeing 3 or 4 people sleeping on the streets this day. Like I pasted another one above. It's not uncommon to see people like this, but it's a little unusual to see so many of them in just one night.
なぜこうなるまで飲むのか。なんか嫌なことでもあったのか。この日は路上で寝落ちしている人を3人だっけ、4人だっけ、そのくらいみた。上にも一枚貼ったように。こういう人がいるのはそこまで珍しいことではないんだけど、一晩で何人も見かけるのはちょっと珍しい。
I wonder if you can tell what this photo is showing? It's a vinyl transparent curtain reflecting various lights from all around. What color and what kind of light will be reflected is truly a once-in-a-lifetime encounter, so when I come across such a scene, I can't help but take photos.
この写真、何かわかるかなぁ？ビニール製の透明カーテンにそこらかしこらの照明が反射しているんだよね。何色のどんな光が反射するかはホントに一期一会だから、こういう風景を見かけるとつい撮ってしまう。
I wrote "When will the warm spring come?" to the title of this article, but actually it was quite warm on this day, such nothing makes me feel cold at all wearing just a T-shirt and a hoodie. Oh, I see. I wonder there were so many people sleeping on the streets because it was a slightly warm day, maybe. If they're sleeping on the streets during times when the temperature drops to one or two degrees, at best they'll catch a cold, at worst they'll freeze to death. Even though not to hear news about someone freezing to death while sleeping on the street even if in winter, so everyone is aware of the dangers, I guess.

今回の記事はタイトルに「いつになったら暖かい春がやってくる？」って書いたけど、実はこの日はかなり暖かくて、Tシャツ、パーカーで寒いと感じることが全くないくらいだった。あぁ、だからかなぁ。そんなちょっと暖かい日だから酔っ払ったまま路上で寝てしまう人が多くいたのかな。気温が一度とか二度とかの時期に路上で寝込んでたら、よくて風邪、最悪凍死するぞ。それでも路上で寝込んで凍死した、なんてニュースを耳にすることはいくら冬でもないから、やっぱりみんなわきまえているんだろうな。
