Purchased a new iPad Pro for the first time in three years.
I've used first generation of iPad Pro 11-inch since it was released. It's almost 3 years. I had no problem using it so far though, recently battery life got shorter than it was.
初代の iPad Pro 11inch を発売直後から使ってきた。もうすぐ3年。問題なく使ってたんだけど、最近バッテリー寿命が短くなったなってきてしまっていた。
Before making a decision to purchase a new one.
First I thought if I would get battery exchanged using repair service. But I've used it for 3 years already as writing above, even if I got battery exchanged, I could easily imagine that not to use the one for extra 3 years from now on. So I made a decision to purchase a new iPad Pro eventually.
最初はバッテリー交換に出そうかなーとか思っていたんだけど、上にも書いた通りもう3年も使っている。もしバッテリー交換したとしても、さらに今から3年・・・は使わないだろうなーってことは簡単に想像できる。なので結局新しいのを買うことにした。
What changed?
I don't compare spec sheets of each ones though, chip is changed of course. Yep, the latest chip called "M1" same to the chip carried on by MacBook Pro that I bought in August. In addition, first generation had 4GM RAM though, the latest one has 2 times bigger than first generation, 8GB. What else?
スペックシートで比較はちゃんとしていないけど、チップは変わってるよね。8月に買った MacBook Pro に入っているのと同じ M1 になってる。あと RAM は初代が 4GB だったのが 8GB と二倍になっていくらいかな？
What I got impressed the most.
I dind't feel big difference between old one and new one how fast it works or things like that actually. However, on the way using for couple hours, I noticed what. That's rendering speed of WebKit. Previous one took time to rerender when size of viewport changed when CSS is defined using media query. It was a bit stressful to wait for getting result of rendering. But new one, it got much faster than the previous one. I'm sorry that what I got impressed the most with, was tiny point.

古い方と新しいのでどれだけ早く動くとかの類の大きな違いは感じなかったな。ただ数時間使ってみて気づいたことも。WebKit のレンダリングが早くなってる。古い方だとメディアクエリでビューポートに合わせて変わるような CSS だと、レンダリングに少し時間がかかって、その待ち時間がちょっとストレスだった。けど新しい方だとほぼ問題なし。感動したポイントが地味でごめんなさい。
