Apple Studio Display

LEICA M-P (Typ 240) + Summicron 50mm f/2.0 Leitz

The number of gadgets I bought is small, but each ones of them are expensive. The first one is this, "Apple Studio Display". This significantly improved work efficiency, as I mentioned in the linked review article. It was definitely a great decision to implement it.

27-inch display is so comfortable to work and do some more.

It's been about 2 months since I started using 27-inch Studio Display. I hadn't paid much attention to the details, but the 27-inch 5K display is incredibly convenient anyway.

iPhone 15

It's not just because I wanted an iPhone, but rather because I should replace it about once every three years at least for me working in this tech industry. Personally, Dynamic Island is much more convenient than I had imagined. I absolutely don't demand high-performance camera features on an iPhone that I will definitely replace in just a few years, so I don't need the Pro.

Happy Hacking Keyboard Professional HYBRID Type-S

Finally I bought the Happy Hacking Keyboard Professional HYBRID Type-S that I'd been interested in for a long time, it now amidst the excitement of its release by HHKB Studio. To be honest, I am so sorry, but I'm perfectly never interested in HHKB Studio. Rather than that, actually I've always been interested in the Type-S, but I completely lost the opportunity to buy one. So, the Type-S I bought is awesome. It's super quiet.

Philips Hue and its accesories

Unfortunately, when I started living alone and I almost completely renovated my house with DIY and replaced most of the lighting fixtures with Philips Hue at the same time. I bought more than 10 Philips Hue light bulbs, so I naturally wanted physical switches. Therefore, I also purchased several Dimmer Switches and Dial Switches.

My recent workspace, living environment and change of lifestyle.

The living room originally used to be shared place between me and my grandma. But now, there's only me alone. Except the fact there's Yuzu-san living with, it's a complete solo life in human terms. There're three rooms other than the living room in my house, it's too much for me living alone. So rooms now I use are only the living room and a room which used to be my room as a bed room. This is a photo of my workspace in the living room after moving.

Macintosh Classic

This is purely my hobby. I had always wanted to run OSnine on a classic Macintosh, and I happened to find a Macintosh Classic that was replaced inside with an LCD and a Windows PC at an auction, so I bought it. Currently, I have made OSnine run on Windows using Electron as I planned and I'm writing this article on the Macintosh Classic.

I didn't buy any lenses or cameras.

I bought either a lens or a camera at least every year in the past few years, but I didn't buy any lenses or cameras at all this year. I guess I never felt inconvenienced with the lenses I already have for Leica M, so I rarely had the desire to get new lenses. The same goes for cameras. With Leica M-P and Leica Q for many years, there would be no inconvenience at all in my usual photo shoots in Kabukicho or family trips. In fact, it's also bothersome to buy a new camera and learn how to use it. By the way, the SONY RX100III that I bought at the end of last year has firmly established its position as a camera for taking photos of Yuzu-san at home and for taking photos of meals at restaurants.

ここ数年は毎年必ずレンズかカメラかを買っていたんだけど、今年はレンズもカメラも全く買わなかった。M型ライカ用のレンズはもう今持っているもので不便を感じることがなくって、レンズが欲しいって願望がほぼ生まれなかったからかな。カメラもそう。もう何年も使っている Leica M-P と Leica Q があれば歌舞伎町でのいつもの撮影も家族旅行も全く不便がない。むしろ新しいカメラ買って使い方覚えるのがめんどくさいってのもある。ちなみに去年の年末に買った SONY の RX100III は完全に家でのゆずさん撮影用と外でごはんを撮る用のポジションを確立した。
