One day at Kabukicho #DAY119 - It's Christmas Eve, December 24th!!
I was really busy this week. Well, in the midst of it all, I bought a Macintosh Classic at an auction and tried to escape from reality for a bit. By the way, that has arrived with no trouble and I plan to write about it on another article.
今週は本当に忙しかったー。まあそんな中で Macintosh Classic をオークションで買ってみたりちょっと現実逃避してみたり。ちなみにそっちは無事届いたので諸々の話はまた別に書く予定。
So, it's Christmas Eve this day. As I mentioned at the beginning, this week, or rather this month, I was overwhelmed with work, but I had made plans to have dinner with my friend a long time ago, so we went to Kabukicho. We went to "Ito" on this day, but it was extremely crowded. but maybe because we got lucky with the timing, we were able to quickly find a seat. Both the counter seats and the other table seats were full of people.
さて、そんなわけでこの日はクリスマスイブ。冒頭にも書いた通り今週、というか今月はずーっと仕事に追い込まれていたんだけど、この日はずっと前から友達とごはんの約束していたから歌舞伎町へ。この日は『糸』に行ってきたんだけどめちゃくちゃ混んでた。ただタイミングがよかったせいかサクっと座れた。カウンター席も他のテーブル席も人でいっぱい。
I arrived a little early for a meeting with my friend, so I was standing in front of the restaurant standing, suddenly Santa Claus appeared in front of me then. I usually have my camera hanging around my neck when I am alone, so I was able to take this photo properly. Anyway, recently I've been so busy and always making my friend wait, so it was good to arrive early.
友達との待ち合わせにちょっと早くついたからお店の前に立っていたら目の前にサンタクロースが現れた。ひとりでいる時は基本的にカメラを首から下げているからちゃんと写真が撮れた。それにしても最近はバタバタでいつも友達を待たせちゃっていたから早めに着けてよかった。
It's rare to see people smoking while walking nowadays even in Kabukicho. However, usually I only see people wearing dark clothing, but I saw a lot of people wearing unusually white clothing on this day. Is it because it's Christmas? Or is it because it was cold and everyone was wearing coats, and many of those coats happen to be white?
歌舞伎町でも今どき歩きタバコの人は珍しい。それにしても普段は黒っぽい服装の人ばかりなんだけど、この日はやたらと白っぽい服装の人を見かけた。クリスマスだから？それとも寒くてみんなコート着ていてそのコートが白系が多いのか？

ほら、ここにも二人揃って白いコーディネートの子達。
After we left "Ito", topic goes to let's have some cake since it's Christmas. My friend also said wanting to have cake, so I looked up places where we can have cake at midnight just in case.
『糸』を出てからはクリスマスだしってことでケーキを食べようってことに。友達にもケーキ食べたいねーって言われていたし、今回は一応深夜にケーキが食べられるようなところは予め調べておいた。
This is a certain hotel with various rumors in Kabukicho. While I was standing, I happened to see it through between some buildings, so I took a photo. By the way, it's not that the hotel itself has a reputation, but rather that there're various rumors about hotel guests.
これは歌舞伎町ではいろいろな曰くがある某ホテル。立っていたらたまたま建物の隙間から見えたから一枚写真を撮っておいた。ちなみにホテル自体に曰くがあるわけではなくって、ホテル利用者にいろいろと曰くがある。
I found two black Santa Clauses.
黒いサンタクロースを発見。
Santa Claus and a girl disappearing into a host club. After all, the most of Santa Claus in Kabukicho is just like that. Well, even it's different kind of dreams that children get given, but they certainly give dreams to girls. This city is that sort of place.
ホストクラブに消えていくサンタクロースと女の子。所詮歌舞伎町のサンタクロースなんてそんなもんだ。まあ子供に与えるのとは違う種類でも夢は与えているのか。この街はそういうところ。
Though she's not Santa Claus, but if I find someone wearing red clothes all over on this day, I can't help but take a photo.
サンタクロースではないんだけど、全身赤い服を着ている人をこの日に見かけちゃったら思わず撮っちゃうよね。

From the end of last month until couple days ago, I was in a situation where I'd been wondering if everything would really be able to be done. And I think it's gonna be quite busy this week as well, but now it seems that I will be able to reach the end of the year with no trouble somehow.

そういえば今年は今週で一応仕事終わりなんだなぁ。先月末から今月中はホントにどうしようって状況が続いていたし今週もそれなりに忙しいとは思うんだけど、なんとか無事に年末を迎えられそうな目処が立ってきた。
