iPhone 12 mini seems to be less popular than I expected.

Today's topic is about the iPhone 12 mini again.

When the iPhone 12 mini was introduced at the Apple Special Event, I thought that it would be accepted by the market and the users who've used the original iPhone SE. However, sales of the iPhone 12 mini in reality seems to be less than I thought.

According to shipping status

Actually number of sales of each iPhones are unknown though, at least the iPhone 12 Pro currently takes couple weeks for being shipped according to the shipping status of the Apple Store Online. However, the iPhone 12 mini currently takes only a few days to be shipped.

What it means?

The iPhone 12 Pro series is set as the premium product, so maybe number of production is less than iPhone 12 not Pro series. Though I'm not sure if it is, the iPhone 12 not Pro series is more buyable option than Pro series anyway. I mean we can get the one in few days in case of the iPhone 12 not Pro.

As smartphone

Do you want smartphone as the most powerful computer of yours? If the answer is it is, maybe you prefer the iPhone 12 Pro series. But in case of me who don't play heavy 3D games on iPhone and think iPhone not to need having super powerful camera function, iPhone 12 is much enough. I think there're lots of users who think like me.

On the other hand, I agree that there're lots of users who use iPhone more and more in daily life, for instance taking photos everyday using iPhone, playing games. Yes, this depends on each users' life style. In case of me, the reason I don't care the camera spec of iPhone is that when I want to take photos, I use other cameras, for instance Leica Q or Leica M-P typ240.

Will the sales of iPhone 12 mini increase?

I hope so. Because if the sales of iPhone 12 mini won't increase, it proves that there're not so many users who want small smartphone. However, I don't want smartphone to be bigger. I've used the iPhone 12 mini for a bit more than a week and I again realize this size is better.

I hope this lineup of iPhone NN mini will be continued for years.
