One day at Kabukicho #DAY118 - Cristmas is almost coming to the city.
There's only one week left until Christmas, the city has completely switched to Christmas mood. Actually, the day before or two days before this shoot, there was a sudden raid on the host clubs in Kabukicho. As a result, there were significantly fewer host boys on streets compared to the usual days. And since there were fewer hosts, there were also fewer girls who would become customers.
クリスマスまであと一週間を切った街はすっかり完全にクリスマスモード。ただね、実はこの撮影をした前日とか前々日とかに歌舞伎町のホストクラブに一斉立ち入りが入ったことがあってか、通りに出ているホストの子たちの数がいつもと比べて圧倒的に少なかった。ホストが少ないからお客になる女の子も少ないわけで。
Even the stairs here are completely decked out for Christmas.
ここの階段もすっかりクリスマス仕様。
It was so cold this day. When I checked the temperature while shooting, it was around 6℃. That's why the restaurants where people can eat and drink outside had vinyl curtains set up like this.
この日はとにかく寒かった。撮影していた時に気温を確認したら6℃とか。だから外で飲み食いできるお店はこんな感じでビニールカーテンが設置されたりしていた。
Girls from different bars across the street are engrossed in conversation. Just looking at it, it seems enjoyable and above all else, but actually I was originally walking towards a street in the depth of this photo. To be honest, I needed a little courage to pass through in between them. I couldn't help is, so I lowered my head and passed through being like "I'm sorry for getting in the way."
通りを挟んで話し込んでいるそれぞれ別のお店の女の子たち。ただ眺めている分には楽しそうでなによりなんだけど・・・実はもともとこの写真の奥の方に向かって歩いていた自分。正直この間に割って入って通り抜けるのはちょっと勇気が必要だった。しょうがないから顔を伏せて『邪魔してごめんなさい』みたいな感じで通り抜けた。

めちゃくちゃおいしそうなパンケーキの食品サンプル。某カラオケ店にて。歌いたいとは全く思わないけど、このパンケーキは食べてみたい。
Was there a shop like this here? I should've walked around here often, but I never noticed it before.
こんなところにこんなお店あったっけ？しょっちゅう通っているはずなんだけど今まで気づかなかった。
Now, let's talk a bit about what I was doing on this day. I went to a sushi restaurant called "Itamae Sushi" that I used to go to quite often. Recently a sushi restaurant called "Uoshin" is my favorite, and I went once a week in last two weeks. But I got to want to have a miso soup with seaweed from Itamae Sushi somehow, so I decided to go to Itamae Sushi this time. As I'd been talking about that, now I got to feel like going to Uoshin again. I wonder to go again soon.
さて、この日の自分はというと、結構久しぶりに前によく行っていた板前寿司に行ってきた。ここ最近はお寿司っていうと魚心がすごいお気に入りで2週連続で行ったりしたんだけど、なんとなく板前寿司の海苔の味噌汁が飲みたくなりまして。そんな話をしていたら今度はまた魚心に行きたくなってきてしまった。近々また行くか。
Metropolitan Police Department? Was there something that happened around here? Well, honestly it's no wonder anything can happen at any time in this city.
警視庁？この辺で何かあったのか？まあ正直いつ何が起きてもおかしくない街ではあるんだけどね。
A car which was parked in a certain place. There's a lot of dirt accumulated on the hood and windshield. I wonder how long it has been abandoned here. Even though I say that, I haven't washed my own car in a long time. I have to wash it sooner.
とあるところに駐車されていた車。ボンネットにもフロントガラスにもすごい汚れが溜まっている。どんだけここに放置されているんだろう。とか言いつつも、自分の車も長いこと洗車していないし洗車しなきゃなー。
Maybe it's not my first time taking photos here, but when I was looking at this scenery of these buildings and lights from one of the, I got to feel an intense desire to take photos.
たぶんここで写真を撮ったのは初めてではないんだけど、このビルとそのビルの照明のある景色を眺めていたらものすごく写真が撮りたくなった。
I spent Christmas Eve with my friend last year and it's planned to be the same this year as well as the last year. However, I have to finish my work somehow as my schedule is tight. It would be bad if I can't manage to get it done. I'm gonna do my best til then.

去年もクリスマスの夜は友達と過ごしていたんだけど、今年も去年と同じ感じになる予定。ただ自分の仕事のスケジュールがギリギリでなんとか仕事も片付けないとまずい。がんばる。
