One day at Kabukicho #DAY70 - Lately, I meet up with my friend so frequently as if we're family.
I've been to Kabukicho so often lately that people might wonder just how frequently I visit. Anyway, I always get invited to go, and according to my friend who invites me, it's so frequently we meet up as if we're family. Neither of us is comfortable with large groups, so it's more comfortable for us.
最近どんだけ歌舞伎町に行っているんだってくらいに行っている。いつも誘われて行くんだけど、誘っている本人曰く『家族かってくらい会ってる』と。お互いに大人数が得意じゃないし楽なんだよな。
By the way, I went to a sauna on this day as well and finally I was able to immerse myself in the cold-water bath up to my shoulders for the first time in my life. Somehow I feel a little more like an adult again.
そういえばこの日もサウナに行ったんだけど、遂に人生で初めて水風呂に肩まで浸かることができた。なんか少しだけまたオトナになれた気分。

Lately, I see these bicycle quite a lot in Kabukicho, and I got to know it's an electric bicycle. Electric folding bicycles seem great, but I think they probably won't fit in my roadster. It's not that the bicycle is too big, it's just that the roadster is too small.
最近歌舞伎町でこの自転車をやたらと見かけるんだけど、電動自転車なんだね。電動で折り畳みの自転車、いいなと思ったけど自分のロードスターにはたぶん載せられない。自転車が大きすぎるんじゃなくてロードスターが小さすぎるだけ。
When I was out taking photos as usual with my camera hanging around my neck, he called out to me on the street. He said, "I'll treat you, let's have a drink together!". I told him that I couldn't drink because I came by drive, "Then how about ginger ale or something similar!", he said.
いつも通りカメラぶら下げて撮影をしていたら路上で彼に声をかけられた。奢るんで一緒に飲みましょうよーって。車だから飲めないよーって言うと、じゃあジンジャーエールでもいいんで！って。
Actually he was also a photographer, we talked and show each others photos that each of us took drinking ginger ale all the time while taking photos. And even the ginger ale was generously paid for by him, so I didn't spend even a single penny during the bill payment. Even though they were people I met for the first time, it was so enjoyable to have a lively and fun time together.
実は彼もフォトグラファーでお互いの撮った写真を見せ合ったりして話ながら、ずっとジンジャーエールを飲みつつ写真を撮っていた。そしてそのジンジャーエールすら彼が奢ってくれたので自分はお会計で一銭も払わず。でも初めて会った人たちだけどワイワイするのも楽しかった。
She is Marie introduced at the bar, an owner. On our conversation, I realized that she is actually an owner of another bar where I often take photos from the outside. And we went to that bar together.

Sometimes it happens that suddenly I enter bar and take photos, so it was after all better to put 50mm and 35mm lenses in my bag, even though I usually shoot with 75mm lens. In a small bar, it's impossible to take photos at super close distances with 75mm lens. Yep, it was a funny day.
