One day@Kabukicho #DAY174 - In 2025, there were more foreigners than usual in the streets of Kabukicho at the start of the year.

One day during the New Year's holidays, I visited Kabukicho for the first time in 2025 since the new year. And it was the only visit to Kabukicho before the start of regular business this year. This year-end and New Year holidays looked quite long, but maybe because I was busy and rushed, it didn't feel that long in reality.

Well, we will open our business as usual starting from after the weekend, but personally I have various appointments to visit different hospitals and other things planned, so I'm actually quite qorried about how to manage my work. I'll probably have to go to those hospitals and whatnot during the day, and then work on things when I get home in evening. I wonder to accept it's okay if I'm gonna be busy all the time this year. I'll accept it with thinking nothing.

I found a flag. However, I'm not sure what kind of flag it is. I decided to take a photo of it for now. Sometimes, when I record something that I don't understand at the moment, the truth may be revealed later on. So, I think it's important to take a photo of things that pique my interest.

The other day, I found a mental clinic sign while taking photos around here on Christmas night, but I couldn't take a photo of it due to the distance. This is TŌYOKO. There're probably a lot of people who need the clinics, but there also seem to be many people, including runaway boys and girls, who do not have health insurance cards. Ultimately, those people often have a hard time connecting to clinics or welfare services like this.

I didn't realize it when I was taking the photos, but the photos I took on this day have a different feeling to usual. Well, I'm sure the difference won't be conveyed to anyone other than me taking the photos.

Taking so many photos in this city like this, I can generally tell where they were taken by looking at the photos. Looking back at the photos of this day like this, I can see that I was wandering around the city, going here and there, back and forth, taking photos while really just wandering around.

People gathering around the flag that was in the photo I introduced above. There're plenty of chairs lined up and people are sitting down. While it's true that there're many people around here who often sit or lie down, not many of them actually bother to set up chairs and tables like this.

It's still in the New Year, so I took a photo looks like a new year. I think I also took and posted a photo that looked like it in last year's New Year's article.

This building didn't have so few signs, right? I feel like there were a lot more signs before. I want to find it from old photos, but there're too many photos taken in Kabukicho and it's not easy to find it quickly.

A very dark back alley. I took a photo by force. I brightened it up in development, but in reality, it's not as bright as it looks. I could see a person sitting there, and I'm not sure why, but I really wanted to take a photo, so I forced myself to.

If they're going to put up signs to warn against being ripped off, I think signs warning agains unscrupulous hosts should be put up at the same level throughout the city. Actually, the essence of this sign is written in red letters, saying "Do not follow the touts" and the issue of being ripped off is a risk that occurs as a result of following the touts. However, hearing various stories, the situation in hosts industry can be so bad that being ripped off may seem like a minor problem. Seriously.

This month, personally I'm going to be very busy with work and haven't made any plans to go to Kabukicho or meet up with my friend. I don't have any plans to go to Kabukicho = I don't have any plans to take photos, but I still want to make plans in that regard as well. Ah... However, I'm sure that the opportunities themselves to go out are increasing, so it might be a good idea to take photos at that time.

See you then.
