One day＠Kabukicho #DAY184 - I wonder if I can wipe away stress and unwanted thoughts through workouts at the gym and time in the sauna.

I can't really go into details, but lately, not being able to do things the way I want has been causing me a lot of stress. When I feel overwhelmed by that kind of stress, I make it a point to go to the gym. I can use the treadmill if I feel like running, or if I don't feel like moving much, I just go for the sauna.

Now, when it comes to going to the gym like that, the tricky part is figuring out when to start drinking. My working hours don't really mean much, but officially, work is until 7pm. Some members start work early in the morning and wrap up early in the evening, and honestly, I think that's fine if that working style suits them. Maybe we should even make it official by introducing flexible hours in the work regulations, but since the company has just started, we haven’t gotten around to that yet.

I don't usually go to the gym in the middle of the day, but if it's around 5 or 6pm. and I don't have any appointments, I don't mind going then. I'm still a bit cautious about putting too much strain on my heart, so I just walk on the treadmill for about 15–20 minutes, then do some stretching for 10–15 minutes. After that, I take a shower and have two light sessions in the sauna. Even just that feels really good.

Lately, I've realized I might be drinking a bit too much, so as I'm writing this, I'm thinking it might be a good idea to increase the number of times I go to the gym, and by doing that, naturally cut down on how much I drink.

So, this LAWSON has been closed for months now. I'm not sure if it's due to renovations or something else, but it's been shut the whole time. Even if they're not operating, they must still be paying rent, which honestly makes me a little worried for them, even though it's none of my business. Also, it's gone now, but there used to be a live music club really close by, and whenever I needed to pick something up back then, this was the place I'd come. That must've been almost ten years ago.

As the sign says, this store has been closed since May and what's more, it says there's no set date for reopening. If it were just a renovation, I'd expect them to post when they'd be back, so it makes me wonder.

It was just a regular weekend, but Kabukicho was absolutely packed with people. That said, it wasn't as if every single restaurant or bar was overflowing, like in this photo, some places were actually pretty empty. The streets were crowded, yet some restaurants and bars still had space. It was kind of a strange day.

Lately, more and more parking lots in Tokyo have been turning into Times, a parking lot brand. Small parking lots that used to only take cash payments are becoming Times lots, and while it's nice that they now accept card and cashless payments, it feels like the prices quietly go up at the same time they switch to Times. Well, land prices in the city center are still really high, so I suppose that's just how it is.
