One day＠somewhere #DAY18 - I thought to take some photos during the day, so I picked up my camera in Kichijoji.
I have recently written several book reviews, all of which have been written only in Japanes, so for those who read in English edition of the articles, this is a long-awaited proper article which is written in English as well as Japanese as usual. Well, I usually take photos at night, but when I went out one day, I thought "I wonder to take some daytime photos for a change" and took some.
最近は書評を何本か書いていて、どれも日本語版でしか記事を書いていなかったから、英語圏で読んでくれている人にとっては今回は久しぶりのちゃんといつも通りの両言語で書いた記事だ。さて、普段は夜に写真を撮っていることが多いんだけど、外出した時に『たまには昼間の写真も撮ろうかな』と思って撮ってきた。
In a parking lot, my car. It's been a long time since I properly washed it, so it's too dirty as you see. Because I've been staying at home more than usual recently...
駐車場にて、自分の車。長いことちゃんと洗車していないから汚れすぎだよな。最近ホントに、普段以上に自宅に引きこもっているから・・・。
There're VAIO and a LCD TV side by side. Probably as garbage.
VAIO と液晶テレビが並ぶ。おそらくゴミとして。
The gate of a certain house. Various things are stuck on it. There is a sticker that says "Security cameras installed", a sticker of SECOM (Security service company in Japan), a sticker that says "Security device in operation"... Lots of stickers of the security measures.
とある家の門。やたらといろいろなものが貼ってある。撮っていた時はそこまでちゃんと観察はしていなかったんだけど、防犯カメラ設置してあるってステッカーに SECOM のステッカー、その他にも『防犯装置作動中』ってステッカー・・・防犯関係がすごい。
There was something like an envelope which is so brightly colored, lying around. Even though I was taking photos during the day and it's rare, for some reason this color scheme reminds me of the night streets.
やたらとカラフルな封筒みたいな何かがあった。せっかく珍しく昼間に写真を撮っているのに、なんだかこの色味は夜の街を彷彿させる。
Let me briefly explain the reason why I have been writing quite a lot of articles recently. That is because if I don't focus on writing articles or something similar, I inevitably start to think about things that I shouldn't be thinking about right now. There're various things, but... well, I'd like to call it a form of escapism.
最近記事を結構書いている理由を少し書いておこう。それは記事を書くこととかに集中しないと、今考えるべきではないようなことをどうしても考えてしまうから。いろいろあるんだけども・・・まあ現実逃避の一種とでも言っておこうか。
Some people may have noticed, but starting from this time I changed the series name from "One day at somewhere" to "One day＠somewhere". Just on my whim. I revised all the titles of past articles as well. Along with that, I also changed the title of another series to "One day＠Kabukicho" from "One day at Kabukicho". But there're quite a few articles for that series, so I haven't finished fixing the titles yet. I will eventually fix them all.

もしかしたら気付いた人もいるかもしれないけど、今回からシリーズ名を『One day at somewhere』から『One day＠somewhere』に変えました。なんとなく・・・ノリで。過去記事もタイトルは全部修正した。それに併せて別のシリーズだけど『One day at Kabukicho』も『One day＠Kabukicho』に変えました。ただあっちは過去記事は本数が結構あるからまだ途中までしか直していない。そのうち全部直す。
