A notebook is typically used with two pages per day spread open.
Lately, there have been a lot of articles related to stationery. It's not like I'm consciously focusing on it, but if I had to say, I was thinking of writing articles on stationery topics, but it ended up being too much for just one, so I decided to break it down into some elements and write separate articles, which may have resulted in a higher number of articles... I wonder.
最近文房具関連のネタの記事が多いな。特に意識しているわけじゃないんだけど、強いていうなら文房具ネタで記事を書こうと考えていたら1本にまとまらなくなったから、要素ごとに分けて書いているから記事の数にすると多くなっている・・・のかなぁ。
This time, let's talk about the basic usage of my notebook. As the title of the article suggests, I typically use two pages in a spread format per day.
There're days when I write so much that it feels like I'm filling every corner of the page, and there're days when I don't write so much and there're so many blank spaces. Occasionally, I find myself running out of space to write, using up a total of four pages (two double-page spreads) in a single day.
But there's an exception that occasionally I make a two-page spread for the weekend in just two days, because I spend too much time lazing around and there isn't much stuff to write about.
今回は手帳の基本的な使い方の話。記事のタイトルの通りなんだけど、基本的に一日2ページを見開きで使っている。
そういう使い方をしていると隅々まで何か書いているような書くことの多い日もあれば、空白だらけでほとんど何も書いていない日も出てくる。たまーにホントに書くところが足りなくなって見開き2ページ x 2 の見開き4ページ分を一日で使っていることもあるな。
例外としてグダグダと過ごしすぎているが故にそんなに書くことがないような週末とかだけは、週末二日で見開き2ページにしていることもたまーにある。
Why two pages?
One of the main reasons I use two pages per day in my notebook is that I find the implicit rule of writing from top left to bottom and then top right to bottom to be cumbersome for my purposes. I think I prefer to use it more like a canvas rather than a notebook in my case.
By using it like a canvas, I can freely draw meeting notes, ideas that come to mind, or anything else. I can draw illustrations, sketches, and really anything freely.
一日を2ページ見開きで使っている大きな理由のひとつは・・・ノートというものは左上から下、終わったら右上から下って順番に書いていく、っていう暗黙のルールが自分の用途だと厄介に感じるから。自分の場合はノートってよりもキャンバスっぽく使いたいってのがあるのかなーって思う。
キャンバスっぽく使うことで打ち合わせのメモだったり思い浮かんだアイデアのメモだったり、とにかくなんでもいろいろ自由に描ける。イラストとかスケッチとかも描けるし、ホントなんでも自由に描ける。
Recently, I find myself writing a lot of articles like this because I'm at risk of forgetting the individual "intentions" of various things that I should be doing with a clear purpose. Maybe it's because of my age. Even though I have clear intentions, I'm at risk of forgetting them. This is not good. So before I forget, I want to write these things as the articles. That can be a big reason why I write the articles like this time.
I know I can be too logical sometimes, but I still want to have clear intentions and reasons for what I do. Just going with a flow or an atmosphere of the moment feels somehow wrong to me.
So, I will write another article like this.
最近、こういう記事を書くことが多いのは自分自身が明確な意図を持ってやっているはずのいろいろなことのそれぞれの『意図』を忘れてしまいそうになるから。歳のせいかなぁ。ちゃんと意図があるのに忘れそうになる。これはダメだ。なので忘れてしまう前に、ちゃんと覚えているうちに記事として残しておこうって思って書いているって面が大きい。
自分でも理屈っぽいなってのはわかっているんだけど、それでも自分がやることには意図とか理由とかをちゃんと持っておきたい。流れとかその場の雰囲気だけでやるってのはなんか違う。
ということで、またこんな記事書きます。
