One day at Kabukicho #DAY114 - A night that everything was just fun anyway.
Recently I and my friend had been talking about a sushi restaurant we wanted to go someday, and we managed to make a reservation there. Well, it was awesome. We had incredibly delicious sushi and more. The restaurant is called "Uoshin" and it's located right behind the TOHO Building in Kabukicho.
最近友達と今度行きたいねーって言っていたお寿司屋さんがあって、予約が取れたから行ってきたんだけど・・・これがもう大当たり。めちゃくちゃおいしいお寿司やらなんやらを食べてきた。歌舞伎町のTOHOビルのすぐ裏にある『魚心』ってお店。
As you can see in the two photos above, topping part of sushi were incredibly big anyway. They are like super thick sashimi rather than topping part of sushi. They were so big like I couldn't eat all just by a single bite. And every single one of them is incredibly delicious.
上の2枚の写真を見てもらったらわかる通り、とにかくネタがでかい。寿司のネタっていうよりも超肉厚の刺身って感じ。一口じゃ到底食べ切れないくらいに。そしてどれもこれもとにかくおいしい。
After having a satisfying dinner, we headed to a movie theater we usually go, Shinjuku Wald 9 and watched a movie called "首" (The Head) by Takeshi Kitano, which we had been looking forward to watching for a long time.
It was already at 28:30 early morning when the movie finished. I can't give away any spoilers in my movie review, but I was so overpowered anyhow. My friend said that she got to want to watch "OUTRAGE" also by Takeshi Kitano. I also got to want to watch the other Takeshi Kitano movies.
映画が終わったのは朝の28時半。映画の感想はネタバレ書くと悪いからアレだけど・・・とにかく圧倒された。友達は『アウトレイジ』とか観たくなったって言ってた。自分もちゃんと他の北野武映画を観たくなった。
Well, I said goodbye to my friend at a station and headed back to my usual parking lot. I took photos on the way back to the parking this time. It was raining before going to the movie, so I didn't want to walk outside around.
さて、友達とは駅で別れて自分はいつもの駐車場へ。今回はその駐車場への帰路で写真を撮って歩いた。映画に行く前は結構雨が降ってて外を歩きたくなかったからさ。
It was already the time early morning, so I only took photos on the way back to the parking because I really wanted to get home and sleep as soon as possible. I already hadn't had the physical energy for any detours, you know.
ただ時間も時間だったからね、さすがに早く家に帰って寝たくて駐車場まで戻る道中しか撮らなかった。寄り道する体力的な余裕がなかったというか、ね。
Anyway, I went to the sushi restaurant I wanted to go, sushi there was so delicious in addition, the movie was awesome... Yep, it was an awesome night.
でもこの日はずっと行きたかったお寿司屋さん行って、しかもそこのお寿司も超おいしくて、映画も最高で・・・うん、ホントいい夜だった。
I stopped by a convenience store and bought some boxes of cigarettes. I haven't been to a convenience store near my home recently and I feel like I've bought cigarettes only at this convenience store.
コンビニに立ち寄ってタバコを買った。最近自宅の近所のコンビニにあんまり行っていなくて、ここのコンビニでばっかりタバコを買っている気がする。
Arriving at the parking. As I somewhat predicted last time, the site of the demolished abandoned hotel has eventually turned into an expanded area of the parking. This parking was originally located behind the abandoned hotel, surrounded by buildings on almost all sides. but now the demolished part of the hotel got now completely opened, it has become easier to access. It was great to be able to witness the final stages of the abandoned hotel I've observed for a long time, demolition and the transformation of the site.

駐車場到着。結局解体された廃ホテルの敷地は前回ちょっと予想した通り、駐車場の拡大と相成りました。元々その廃ホテルの裏手にあって周囲をほぼ全て建物に囲まれていた駐車場だったんだけど、廃ホテルだった部分が完全にひらけたことで出入りもしやすくなった。長いこと観察してきた廃ホテルの最後〜解体、敷地がどうなるのかを見届けることができてよかった。
