One day at Kabukicho #DAY67 - I got a sudden contact from my friend who had just done a hard work, to go to Ichiran.
I got a message from my friend the day after my last visit to Kabukicho. "I want to go to Ichiran if a hard work is going to finish successfully." it said. There was no reason to refuse it, so I told her "Okay, good luck!" and the next day, I got a message saying it ended successfully. So, we went to Ichiran to celebrate.
前回歌舞伎町に行った日の翌日、友達からメッセージが来た。『一仕事無事に終わったら一蘭に一緒に行きたい』と。断る理由もないし、じゃあがんばってと伝えたらさらにまた翌日、無事に終わったとの連絡。ってことで一蘭に行ってきた。
It all begins from this crossing this night as well.
今夜も始まりはこの交差点から。
Well, it was late at night when we went to Ichiran, but there was already an incredibly long queue... We waited for about an hour after all. It can be tough waiting alone for an hour, but it didn't matter that I had the friend to chat with the whole time.
さて、一蘭に行ったのは深夜だったんだけど、なんかもうすごい行列で・・・結局一時間近く待つことになった。まあ一人で一時間はしんどいけど、ずっと友達と喋っていたからいいんだけどね。
By the way, there was a person waiting alone in front of us who was watching game live streams on his smartphone and commenting. I wonder if this kind of thing is quite common for people who use public transportation. Personally, I don't usually watch videos for a long time standing outside, so it made me realize it's that sort of age.
ちなみに自分らの前で一人で待っていた人はずーっとスマホでゲーム実況見ながらコメントとか書いてたな。電車使う人はこういうの結構普通なのかなぁ？自分はそんな感じで外で立ったまま長時間動画見るとかないから、ああこういう時代なんだなぁって。
When I looked up, I noticed this graffiti on the upper part of the building. This is just behind the ward office. It's a type of graffiti that often can be seen at ground level, but it's surprising to be painted at such the high place.
ふと見上げたらビルの上の方にラクガキがあった。これは区役所のすぐ裏。地上ではよく見るタイプのラクガキだけど、よくこんな高いところに書いたもんだな。
Actually the mirror here is being broken. I wonder someone drunk hit its body?
実はこの鏡って割れているんだよね。誰か酔っ払った人がぶつかったのかな？
It's quite fun to shoot from upper floors of buildings, aiming down at streets. However, unlike being on ground, I can't move around freely, so the variety of photos I can take could be somewhat limited.
ビルの上層階から下を狙って撮るのもなかなか楽しいね。ただ路上と違って好き勝手に動き回れないから撮れる写真はどうしても限られてしまうかもしれないけど。
I found a tiny umbrella of the Uber Eats set on a motorbike like this. Cute. There was a bag of the Uber Eats carried, so I guess this motorbike itself is for delivery of the Uber Eats, but is this tiny umbrella the official or someone's handcrafted?
こんな感じでバイクに付けられている Uber Eats のちっちゃい傘見つけた。かわいい。Uber Eats のバッグがあったからバイク自体は Uber Eats の配達用だと思うんだけど、この傘って公式なのか、それとも誰かの手作りなのか？
Actually, I didn't think I could take anything particularly good when shooting on this day. However, when I developed the photos after returning home, I was pleasantly surprised to find that there were some shots that turned out quite nicely. In case of me, when I'm taking street snaps, I don't often get to check the photos I've taken right there, so it's always unknown what kind of shots I've been able to get. Anyway, that's part of the fun though.

実はこの日は撮影している時はそんなにいいの撮れてないかなー？って思っていたけど、帰って現像してみたらそれなりにいい感じのが撮れていてよかった。自分の場合、ストリートスナップって撮っている時ってあまりちゃんと撮ったのをその場で確認しないからどんなのが撮れているか未知数な部分がいつもあるんだよなー。まあそれが楽しいのもあるんだけどね。
