One day at Kabukicho #DAY109 - Finally Ichiran's ramen for the first time in more than a month.
I have one thing I want to do. It's how to take this "I ❤︎ Kabukicho" sign in a really nice way. While it may have a shorter history compared to a sign of Kabukicho Ichiban Street, I think it's one of the symbols of present-day Kabukicho.
自分の中でひとつやりたいことがある。それはこの『I ❤︎ 歌舞伎町』を如何にいい感じに撮れないかってこと。一番街の看板に比べれば歴史は浅いものなんだろうけど、それでも今の歌舞伎町を象徴する看板のひとつでもあると思うから。
Finally the abandoned hotel that had been left untouched since the fire, has been completely demolished. Before the demolition work starts, there wes a notice posted mentioning that asbestos was used in the construction materials.
遂に火災以来長年放置されていた廃ホテルが完全に解体された。解体作業前には建設資材にアスベストが使用されていたとか告知の張り紙が貼ってあったな。
Legal weed? I guess it dares to say that it's legal. It also says "You're gonna have a trip". Even though it's legal, we shouldn't try it. This "legal" just means "Not illegal".
合法ガンジャ？あえて合法って言っているんだろうね。『ぶっ飛びます』とも書いてある。そんなもん、いくら合法だろうがやっていいわけがない。この『合法』ってのは『非合法ではない』ってだけ。
Do you get what this is? An entrance of a host club actually.

I didn't notice when I was taking this photo, but people in a bar noticed me taking photos and they were posing. I'm happy they do this sort of thing.
この写真を撮っている時は気づかなかったけど、お店の中の人達、写真撮っている自分に気づいてポーズとっていてくれたんだね。なんかこういうのってうれしい。

It's nice "I ❤︎ Kabukicho" taken like this angle. I usually focus on the sign, but it's different from usual because of focusing on the foreground. It's something I blow my own horn, but that's okay.
こんなアングルで撮る『I ❤︎ 歌舞伎町』もいいね。普段は看板の方にピントを合わせることが多いけど、前ピンにしているおかげでいつもと違う感じ。自画自賛だけどそれでいいのさ。
This is my personal opinion. I think it's great that people who have plenty of ability to pay, go to host clubs just for enjoying, but it's probably wrong to exploit money from girls who originally don't have enough ability to pay, who would have to make money by doing something crazy. I think that way to do is not sophisticated.
個人的な意見として。遊べる余裕がある人がホストに行くのは遊びとして全然いいと思うんだけど、本来なら支払い能力がない、無茶な稼ぎ方をしないと支払い能力がないような子から搾取していくのはホントどうかと思うよ。そういうやり方って粋じゃないと思うんだよなー。
I found a person who had really cool tatoos on all over his head so I took a photo.To be honest, I want to properly ask people like them for permission and to take shots from the front of them, but I still lack the courage for that.
頭全体にカッコいいタトゥーをした人を発見したので撮ってみた。ホントはこういう人たちにちゃんと声をかけて真正面から撮らせてもらいたいんだけどその勇気がまだまだない。
This photo wasn't aimed at anything specific, but I just felt like taking a shot of people passing by in the city. I took this in front of a sushi restaurant, but actually I don't recommend this sushi restaurant personally.
こっちの写真は特になにかを狙ったわけじゃないんだけどなんとなーく街行く人を撮ってみた。お寿司屋さんの前で撮ったんだけど、個人的にこのお寿司屋さんはあまりオススメではない。
I came here! Finally it's Ichiran's ramen for the first time in more than a month! It was after 4am when we went to Ichitan, but we waited for a bit. It's a bit crazy the Ichiran we sometimes have to wait for even early morning like this time.
来た！遂に一ヶ月以上ぶりの一蘭のラーメン！一蘭に行ったのは朝4時過ぎだったんだけどちょっとだけ待った。こんな時間でも待たなきゃいけない一蘭ってある種狂っている。
It's morning!! I went to a parking leaving my usual friend. It's around the time of first train. This is a hypothesis of me and my friend, there may be people who finish drinking and want to have ramen at Ichiran before going back their home by first train. That may be why Ichiran was a bit crowded around this time. Well, I took quite a few photos this time, so I couldn't share them all. I'd like to share them on some other occasion.

朝だー！！いつもの友達と別れて駐車場に向かう。始発の時間をまわったくらい。これは自分と友達の仮説なんだけど、飲み終えて始発に乗って家に帰る前に一蘭でラーメンを食べたい人がいて、だからこのくらいの時間にちょっと混んでいたのかな、と。さて、今回は写真かなり撮っていたせいで全然紹介し切れなかった。どっかの機会でまた紹介したいな。
