Rollei 35, a camera I hope to have someday.
Lately films are too expensive, that's why I can't enjoy to photograph using film cameras easily. It's unbelievable that easily more than 20 U.S. dollers per color negative 36 exposures films.
ここのところフィルムが高すぎて、フィルムカメラでの撮影を簡単に楽しめなくなっている。36枚撮りのカラーネガが余裕で1本2,000円以上とか信じられん。
Rollei 35 and RX100III.
You may know Rollei 35, it's famous compact film camera. Width is 99mm, height is 68mm and depth is 42mm. Lens is made by Carl Zeiss. Actually size I wrote so far of Rollei 35 is quite close to RX100III, I noticed it. Width of RX100III is 101.6mm, height is 58.1mm and depth is 41mm. Because of a hand grip I installed, height of my RX100III is about 7mm taller than the original, it means height is about 65mm. All of them are so close to Rollei 35 surprisely. It's also same that both of lenses are by Zaiss brand.
コンパクトなフィルムカメラとしては有名な Rollei 35。幅91mm、高さ69mm、奥行き68mm。レンズはツァイス製。ここまで書いた Rollei 35 のサイズって実は RX100III と近いことに気づいた。RX100III の幅は101.6mm、高さが58.1mm、奥行きが41mm。ハンドグリップをつけた関係で自分の RX100III は7mmくらい高いから、たぶん65mmくらい。驚くほどに Rollei 35 に近い。どっちもレンズがツァイスブランドってことも一緒だな。
Price Tag.
Rollei 35 is camera which was originally released 1967, it's more than a half century ago. But it's so populer, so price tag of Rollei 35 is still about 60,000 yen in used camera market. Actually it's more expensive than used RX100III. So I can't buy it easily, got it?
To be honest, it could be still nice to use film cameras just as hobby, it could be less better for daily usage in reality.
If I would buy Rollei 35 and report it here, I'd like you to guess something happened to me, please. Because I guess I would never buy it without thinking anything in case of this camera.
Rollei 35 の発売は1967年で半世紀以上前のカメラ。けど人気がすごくて、中古市場でも未だに6万円前後とかする。実は中古の RX100III より高い。んなわけでカンタンには買えないわけだ。
正直言ってフィルムカメラはただ趣味として使うのはいいかもしれないけど、日常的に使うカメラとしては微妙なのが実際のところ。
もし自分がここで Rollei 35 を買ったなんて報告することがあったら、何かあったんだと察してください。このカメラの場合は何も考えなしで買うことはないと思うから。
