One day＠somewhere #DAY17 - I went to Shibuya for the first time in several years.
I went to Shibuya for the first time in years. It's a city where I used to come every day because there was an office. That being said, this time I went around Center-gai, but even when I was in Shibuya every day, I rarely went to places like Center-gai... How many years has it been since I last came to Center-gai??
久しぶりに・・・何年かぶりに渋谷に行ってきた。昔はオフィスがあったから毎日来ていた街。とは言っても、今回はセンター街の辺りに行ったんだけど、毎日渋谷にいた当時もセンター街の方とかは行くことなかったから・・・センター街なんて来るの何年ぶりだ？？
Originally, I was planning to go straight home after finishing my errands, but I suddenly felt a strong urge to take photos while walking around the city. So, it's not a large number, but I decided to point my camera at the city for a little bit. Actually, the moment I saw this payphone, a switch inside me turned on and I thought "I want to take photos!".
元々は野暮用を済ませたらすぐ帰ろうと思っていたんだけど、なんか街を歩いていたら無性に写真が撮りたくなってきた。んなわけで大した枚数ではないけど、ちょっとだけ街にカメラをむけてみた。というか、この公衆電話を見かけた瞬間『撮りたい！』ってスイッチが入ってしまった。
It could be because I was taking photos in a different city than usual, so this kind of scenery should be common in Kabukicho, but somehow the photos I can take feel different from usual. Even though I take photos in Kabukicho, it's a common sight. But why do I feel like it's different from usual...
いつもと違う街で撮っているからなのか、こんな光景って歌舞伎町でもよくあるはずなんだけど、なんか撮れる写真がいつもと違う感覚。ホント、歌舞伎町で撮っていてもありふれた光景なんだけど。なんかいつもと違うって感じるのはなんでだろう・・・。
It's a dilemma that the photo I wanted to take at that time and the one I ended up taking are slightly different. Well, not everything goes perfectly, but that's just how it is.
この写真はこの時に撮りたかったものと、結果的に撮れたものがちょっと違ってちょっとしたジレンマ。まあ全てが全てうまくはいかないけど、そんなもんでしょ。
When I worked in the Shibuya area, I used to wander around Daikanyama and the vicinity of Shibuya Station rather than Center-gai. So, I don't really know much about this area... This is the upper part of Center-gai, but I have very little knowledge about this area. However, I was a little happy to see that the cafe I went when I was in high school still exists.
渋谷界隈で仕事をしていた頃はセンター街方面じゃなくって、どっちかって言うと代官山方面と渋谷駅近辺をうろうろしていたから、センター街の・・・ここはセンター街の上の方だけど、この辺はほとんど知識がない。ただ高校生の頃かな、行ったことがある喫茶店が今もちゃんとあったのは少し嬉しかった。
This time, I only took a few shots of Shibuya, but I got the impression that taking photos in this city wouldn't be so bad. I feel like that I might encounter something thrilling if I keep going to take photos in Shibuya. Plus, there're plenty of inexpensive parking lots available if it's late night, and the time it takes to get to Shinjuku or Shibuya from home is almost the same. It was a night that made me feel like it would be fun to take photos of Shibuya at night.
今回はちょっとだけだったけど渋谷の街を撮った印象、この街で写真を撮るのも悪くないな、と。なんか撮るために通えばスリリングな何かにも出会えそうな気もする。しかも遅い時間なら結構安い駐車場もあるし、自宅から新宿に行くのも渋谷に行くのもかかる時間はほとんど同じくらいだし。夜の渋谷を撮るのもちょっと楽しそうと感じる、そんな夜だった。
