The loan payments for my Leica M-P Typ 240 should be finished by September or October, and after that it's just a matter of using it to the fullest.
I wonder how many photos I've taken with my Leica M-P Typ 240 since I bought it and it came into my hands. It's not the kind of camera you'd use for continuous shooting, so leaving aside the shutter release count, I still think I've taken quite a lot of shots. Looking back at that old article now, it's really clear how unfamiliar I still was with the camera's handling and characteristics compared to now. At that time I wasn't even shooting or developing in RAW yet.
Since I'm not a professional photographer, it's hard for me to constantly take a huge number of photos every day for practice. I usually only shoot a decent batch of photos a few times a month.

I think the big turning point was when I started shooting in RAW and then selecting and developing the shots.
I'd always felt that the scenes in my memory weren't necessarily realistic, but rather more vivid or higher in contrast. As I kept experimenting with the developing process to answer that feeling, I gradually started to get results that matched what I had in mind.

So the burden of paying off my camera gear is finally coming to an end. By the way, I finished paying off the Leica Q earlier this spring. Now all that's left is to take as many photos as I want to take.
For the five years since it came into my hands, I've been carrying it in my bag almost all the time, which is kind of amazing. I never know when a moment I want to capture will come, and I'm pretty sure it'll stay in my bag for years to come.
そんなわけでカメラ機材の支払い負担がようやく終わる。ちなみにライカQの方は今年の春に支払いが終わっている。あとは撮りたい写真を撮りたいだけ撮ればいい。
自分の手元に来てから5年間、びっくりするくらいずーっといつもカバンの中に入れていた。撮りたい瞬間はいつ来るかわからないから。きっとたぶんこの先もずーっと自分のカバンの中に居続けるんろうなーって思っている。
