What is this website called "TOYBOX"? I'll never use blog services or platform.
This website called "TOYBOX" is my own website as you guys know. However if I simply wanted to publish articles, there would be some blog services. Bud I don't use them. Why? The reason is so simple. Because If I used some service, I wouldn't be able to do what I want, how I want.
このウェブサイト『TOYBOX』はご存知の通り自分のウェブサイト。けどただ記事を書きたいだけだったりならブログサービスとかあるよね。でも使わない。なぜか。理由はシンプルでもしなんかサービスを使っちゃうと、自分のやりたいことがやりたいように出来なくなっちゃうから。
Because I'm a designer.
It may come from my mindset of being a designer, I hope to publish articles under my own design. Text itself is important, I know it. But once thinking about text online, page design for readers to read articles is also important. If I don't take care about that sort of things, to post on Facebook and so on could be already much enough, I don't need to use blog services neither.
デザイナーとしての考え方からくるのかもしれないけど、自分は自分の書く記事を自分でデザインした場所に載せたい。テキスト自体が重要、それはわかっている。ただしオンラインのテキストで考えてみると、読者の人が記事を読むページのデザインもまた重要だと思っている。もしそういうのを気にしないんだったら、Facebook 辺りに投稿するだけで十分すぎるんだろうし、ブログサービスを使う必要すらない。

But I don't want that. I want to publish text I wrote to where I designed. Also, in case of me, photos are same. I don't photograph for Instagram. So somewhere to publish photos taken by myself is also necessary. Especially recent articles are often about photos taken by myself and to gather and to introduce them.
けどそれじゃ嫌だ。自分が書いた文章は自分でデザインしたところに置いておきたい。あと自分の場合は写真も同じ。Instagram のために写真を撮っているわけじゃない。だから自分で撮った写真を公開する場所も必要。特に最近の記事は自分で撮った写真を集めて紹介するようなのもあるし。
Repeatedly, I'm a designer and also I'm an engineer.
I'm a designer and also I'm an engineer, so I can make all of them by myself. I can design whole the website, I can code how it works.
For instance, camera name and lens name are shown right bottom of each photos of articles and they're automatically shown, it's realized by my code. It's troublesome to input each of them manually, right? So name of camera and name of lens are got from each photo files.
That's why I can provide articles and photos with a consistent design and user experience. I'm gonna update design if I feel it's better to fix. All of contents and design are on my hand.
自分はデザイナーで、エンジニアでもある。だから全部自分で作れてしまう。サイト全体のデザインは当然できるし、コードも思うように書く。
例えば記事の中の写真は右下にカメラ名とレンズ名が出ているけど、自動的に出るようにしている。自分でコード書いてる。それぞれそういうの手入力するなんて面倒じゃん？だからカメラ名とレンズ名はそれぞれの写真ファイルから取り出している。
そんなわけで記事も写真も一貫したデザインとユーザー体験にしておくことができる。デザインを変えた方がいいかなーってことがあれば変更する。全てのコンテンツとデザインは自分の手の中にある。
