I couldn't help but wonder if my recent articles have all been way too long.
I just realized something. Haven't the articles I've been writing lately all ended up way too long? Even though in an article I wrote in early summer, I said "Lately, I sometimes feel like writing not just full-length articles, but also short and casual posts.".
Let me start with an excuse. For my One day@Kabukicho articles, I usually include around 8 to 10 photos, and I just write whatever I feel like for each photo block. So the whole article inevitably ends up being long.
Other than that, whenever I write in the style of an article it inevitably ends up being long. If it's just about jotting down around 200 characters of what I want to say quickly, I don't even feel the need to make it an article, so lately I've just been posting on X instead.
Basically, I don't write articles so much to tell someone something, but more to leave behind a record for my future self, what I was doing, what I was thinking a few years back. So when I try to write in a way that will make it easier for my future self to look back, it's pretty hard to keep things short.
Well, I think I'll wrap up this article around here. I just hope I can get to the point where I can write articles of at least this length more casually. Really.
