One day@Kabukicho #DAY177 - On that day, it was snowing in Kabukicho.
I had originally promised to meet with my friend on Friday night. But due to my work, we changed the plan to meet on Friday night become a bit difficult for me, so we decided to meet on Saturday night instead. If it was on Friday, the weather was fine, but the next day, Saturday, which was already March, it was a snowy night.
For a while now, this Cinecity Square has been fenced off like this, so we can't usually enter. Before the fence was placed, this was where so-called the kids were gathering. Well, even though the fence has been put up here, there're still the kids gathering outside of it as usual, and nothing significant has changed.
I was wondering where this photo was taken, but I remember now that it was taken at the alley off the main street, Ichiban-gai. I'm glad I could remember. I take this kind of photo everywhere, so I often forget where I took them. Recently, sometimes I'm in the Shibuya area on weekdays for work, so I might start taking photos of the scenery around Shibuya soon.
I was taking photos after seeing my friend off to close to the station, but the outside temperature is really low. It's cold. I was ordered by my friend, who said it was really cold, to not spend too much time taking photos and to go home as soon as possible. She, the friend, seemed to have immediately taken a long bath and warmed up as soon as she got home. It feels so good to take a bath or go to the sauna when our body is cold, right? I know what she means.
I often take photos from various angles here. I just feel like taking photos somehow. I wonder why? By the way, it's a live music club, but I don't think I've ever seen it open for business. Why is that? Maybe because I walk around taking photos late at night.
It's just an ordinary scenery, but sometimes I feel like taking a photo of the address display. Um... this is 2-35-2 Kabukicho here.
This time, it was a day I really didn't know what I wanted to take. Above all, it was snowing and so cold. But no matter how bad the condition is, when I come to Kabukicho, it's already routine to take photos and walk around.
Some of the parking lots around here used to be owned by Repark of Mitsui, but they have since changed to Times without me realizing. It may be because it changed to the Repark of Mitsui, so a few ports for car sharing are now newly available. But I can't imagine what kind of users would use car sharing in a parking lot in Kabukicho. I mean, basically almost all of people have drunk in the first place.
This photo is an example, but I've recently become able to do quick shot. I don't worry about whether the focus is strictly accurate. It's much better to just take the photo, even if it's a little out of focus, than to not take it at all when I want to take it. This may be a feeling that is not easily experienced in an era dominated by autofocus.
Well, the camera called the Leica M-P typ 240, which doesn't have autofocus, has been in my hands for about 4 and a half years now. I suddenly realized that. The first generation Leica Q, which I still often use for family trips and taking photos of Yuzu, has been with me for exactly 5 years now. I got the M model about half a year after the Q. Personally, I thought that M and Q were cameras that I wanted to keep using until the end of my life. Yep, I'll keep on using them.
See you then.
